Public Meeting for a Dog Park at Mt. Hood

YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED!!!

Who: Melrose Park Commission Monthly Meeting
What: Meeting to discuss the potential, off leash area for dogs at Mt. Hood
Where: Mount Hood Clubhouse, 100 Slayton Rd., Melrose, MA
When: Monday July 11th, 7:00PM
Why: A safe, off-leash area was initially conceived by city officials to alleviate issues on the city's fields. A city meeting was held in Feb 2009 to determine the level of interest and to involve citizens. The Melrose Dog Society (MDS) was formed to support the establishment of a dog park.

After 2+ years of work, the site being considered is at Mt. Hood behind the lower maintenance garage, west of First Pond and south of Stillman Rd.

July lost and found pets

• July 2- found- small terrier mix. Please call 781-979-4102 and leave a message with a description of the dog and your phone number. Messages will be checked every 2 hours throughout the weekend. OWNER FOUND!
• July 5- cat lost for two weeks- black and white DSH female cat- Lovell Rd.
• July 6- found cat- solid grey with tan belly, DMH, found near Deering Lumber.
• July 25- lost dog- female German Shorthaired Pointer, solid brown with white patch on chest, Hurd St. area. She is very shy, please call 781-979-4102 if sighted.
• July 30- lost cat- DSH, white with tan markings on head and near tail, Whitman Ave. area.
